WSSU Campus Embraces National Safety Program - Join In!

Posted By: How May I Help You NC on July 25, 2013

Campus Safety Supports Success

Our WSSU Police & Public Safety has brought the national See Something, Say Something campaign to campus with banners and signs, informational bulletins, and the new “I Am Campus Safety” promotional video.

The objective of the 'See Something, Say Something' campaign on campus is to promote collaborative efforts in our campus safety program and to highlight safety resources available to students, faculty and staff.

This “I Am Campus Safety” video features students, faculty, and staff of WSSU who demonstrate potentially unsafe or threatening actions and appropriate actions we can take to defuse the situation.

Nurse at Healthcare
One of the things I did as a naive nursing student was spend long hours studying in the library until close (midnight) without calling for an escort (ride) home. I risked my body and safety walking back to my dorm in the dark alone. Things young women do ... risky!

It's good that this "I Am Camput Safety' program has been launched.
