Posted By: How May I Help You NC on August 08, 2013 POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT EASTERN ILLINOIS UNIVERSITY DEPARTMENT OF ART POSITION: Department of Art, Full-time Painting and Drawing Instructor/Annually Contracted Position (ACF), salary commensurate with experience RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach courses in painting and drawing, and other teaching duties as assigned. Normal teaching load is three studio classes per semester for a total of 18 contact hours per week. Other responsibilities include overseeing studio facilities and supervising of work study/student help when assigned to area. The Art Department consists of 18 faculty members and 200+ majors. The department is NASAD accredited and offers a BFA in Art with options in Graphic Design, Studio & Art Education, BA in Art with options in Art History & Studio, MA in Art and MA in Art with option in Art Education. STARTING DATE: August 16, 2013 APPLICATION: Complete application must include letter of application, current resume which includes evidence of ongoing research/creative activities, name/address/phone number/e-mail of three current references the search committee can contact, transcripts of graduate work (unofficial grad transcripts acceptable for screening committee purposes), 20 images of creative work (Apple-compatible presentation preferred), teaching philosophy, 20 images of student work (Apple-compatible presentation preferred), and examples of your painting and drawing course outlines. CLOSING DATE: Review of complete applications will begin July 15, 2013 and continues until on-campus interview scheduled.
