Nestled between the Charles River and Fenway Park, the Wheelock College community is differentiated by its determination to inspire a world of good. Its mission is simple but powerful: To improve the lives of children and families. With an undergraduate student population of less than 1,000, Wheelock College offers an intimate and truly engaging experience for its students, faculty, and staff. Following its most recent strategic plan, the College has made extensive efforts to increase its visibility, enhance its academic programs, spur innovation, expand its reach internationally, and in general, continue to offer an authentic experience to its students. The College now seeks an entrepreneurial and mission-driven individual to join its team as Vice President of Development and Alumni Relations. As such, he or she will work with the President, Board of Trustees, Deans, faculty, staff, alumni, volunteers, and others to energize fundraising efforts, build a broader constituency, better align and allocate the school’s resources, and create and communicate a strategy for the philanthropic future of the institution. In addition to these responsibilities and others, the Vice President will also serve on the Institutional Leadership Team. Working with the President, he or she will be instrumental in visualizing and promoting the future of the College. The Vice President will be joining the development team at an exciting time. From recent years of continued growth and success in fundraising, the College has built tremendous momentum. The Vice President will be responsible for propelling the College to further fiscal success. As an experienced professional, he or she will be comfortable creating and maintaining important networks on behalf of the College and representing the spirit of the Wheelock community.
