Services include comprehensive planning and advice, investment management, brokerage, private banking, estate planning strategies, trust, insurance and both individual and institutional retirement. Program Overview WBR Early Talent seeks to attract, develop and retain exceptional recent college and MBA graduates into Wealth Brokerage and Retirement. Our goal is to build bench strength as well as increase generational, ethnic and gender diversity in WBR. The Wells Fargo Wealth, Brokerage and Retirement (WBR) Analyst Program is ideal for recent undergraduates interested in working in a collaborative environment focused on providing exceptional client service. Program participants gain a deeper knowledge of the financial services industry through hands-on experience in one of the lines of business within the division. While working as full time team members, the Program also provides participants with a ten month development experience that supplements their role within WBR. This program includes professional development sessions, exposure to key leaders, group project work, coaching and mentoring. Professional Development during the program includes a StrengthsFinder workshop, developing communication and presentation skills, Business Writing, product and market educational sessions and project team assignments to support strategic initiatives that will be presented to the WBR Operating Committee at the end of the program. After completion of the 10 month WBR Analyst Program, participants continue in the role into which they were hired. There is an expectation that Analysts will stay in their role for at least two years. Opportunities The Program offers a wide variety of opportunities within our lines of business, with locations in Charlotte, St. Louis, Minneapolis and other areas of the country. Position locations is determined by business need and is tied to the business function, and are not flexible. Applicants are encouraged to be open to relocation, for which a small stipend is provided. Business Overview Wealth Management: Wealth Management business is a leading provider of financial services to high-net worth clients through Wells Fargo Private Bank, and to the affluent segment through partnerships between Wealth Brokerage Services and the Community Bank. In Wealth Management clients are provided with a complete range of solutions to help them manage, preserve and transfer their wealth. Abbot Downing: Abbot Downing is a boutique business within Wells Fargo that serves individuals and families with investable assets of at least $50 million or net worth of $100 million, as well as their endowments and foundations. Abbot Downing strives to build long-standing relationships by helping clients preserve and grow wealth, address the impact of wealth across generations and leave a legacy of purpose. Wells Fargo Advisors: Wells Fargo Advisors operates the nation’s third-largest Brokerage business with 15,134 Financial Advisors and 3,352 licensed bankers in retail stores across the U.S. Wells Fargo Advisors administers $1.2 trillion in client assets. Unprecedented choice and flexibility for Financial Advisors and their clients is provided through distinct business channels supported by established products, services and technology. Retirement: Wells Fargo Retirement is a top retirement provider to retail and institutional customers across the U.S. Wells Fargo ranks second in annuity distribution, fifth in IRA assets and sixth in retirement recordkeeping. The company also administers custody assets, provides investments and executive benefits to institutional clients and delivers reinsurance services to global insurance companies. WBR Staff roles: Opportunities vary and could include roles in Finance, Marketing, Communication, Cross-Sell, Strategy and Human Resources. Within the Program there is an expanded opportunity for individuals interested in Finance and Accounting. These roles have a rotational aspect through different groups within Finance and Accounting over a two year period. Finance: In addition to be included in the broader WBR Analyst program, in the WFA Finance & Accounting Analyst Program, participants will have the opportunity to participate in a second rotation within Finance, where participants will gain exposure to two different areas before choosing a permanent position after 24 months. The WFA Finance Analyst positions are located in St. Louis; MO. In the Finance department, the analysts’ primary role is supporting the delivery of financial plans and results to senior management. The analyst will also perform historical and/or analytical research in response to requests from business leaders, assist with monthly reporting, variance analysis, importing and interpreting data into financial models or systems, creating ad hoc financial reports, and creating presentations. The analyst may also perform finance and accounting related special projects. General Responsibilities • Maintain daily contact with leaders at all levels of the organization including senior management, team members, individual contributors and vendors. • Provide customer service clients and internal team members as necessary. • Understand processes and work flows to make recommendations for process improvements. • Bring closure to issues, questions and requests. Solve problems independently. • Understand business needs and provide possible solutions by explaining in clear verbal and/or written communications to customers and/or management. • Consistently learn new systems, applications, processes and techniques. • Lead or participate in projects or support activities, which are moderate in size and organization span.
