Shawnee State University Job Opening: Full-TIme Facutly Position, Special Education

Posted By: How May I Help You NC on August 12, 2013 Shawnee State University, a NCATE accredited institution located in picturesque, southern Ohio, invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position with the Department of Teacher Education in the College of Professional Studies. The successful applicant will teach graduate and undergraduate courses in the Special Education-Intervention Specialist program areas; supervise professional field/clinical experiences; advise candidates; participate in university, department, and program committees; engage in scholarly activities; and collaborate with university and PreK-12 school colleagues to further the department’s mission of preparing “learner-centered, inquiring professionals.” For consideration, candidates must submit a letter of application, curriculum vitae, unofficial transcripts, and the name, address, telephone number, and email contact of three references. Candidates should clearly specify/address requirements for the position and send application materials to: Dr. Jim Kadel, Dean College of Professional Studies, Shawnee State University, 940 2nd Street, Portsmouth, OH 45662-4344, or email, Sarah Clausing, Secretary to the Dean at: sclausing@shawnee.edu. Review of applications will begin in early October and continue until the position is filled. It is anticipated the successful candidate will begin in January 2014. Official transcripts and a background check will be required prior to employment. Faculty rank (Assistant/Associate Professor) determined by qualifications and experience.
