Dell Software is expanding its UI engineering team, which produces high quality, highly leveraged solutions used across Dell products. We are looking for a Web UI developer to join our UI engineering team based in Madison, WI. Our team is right for you if: You want to create and maintain Web software that will impact potentially hundreds of Dell products You are looking for a company that offers a challenge each day and an opportunity to grow professionally You have a passion for continuous learning You want to be measured on your performance You want to work with highly skilled individuals who value your skills and expertise You value an iterative development methodology that ships new software every few weeks You are passionate about coding and the creative challenges that come with software development Essential Responsibilities Perform Web UI programming activities using modern web software technologies Familiarity with common Web libraries such as jQuery Write unit tests and automated acceptance tests as part of a fully automated QA strategy Participate in regular pair programming with other team members for code reviews and problem solving Fix defects and work with team to triage and prioritize issues Minimum Qualifications Self-starter ready and eager to learn new concepts quickly 2+ years of software development experience using modern web technologies (Javascript, CSS, HTML) Excellent communications and interpersonal skills. Very detail oriented, organized, and able to work semi-independently. Preferred Qualifications An understanding of the Git workflow and using GitHub for source code and issue management Familiarity with visual design and interaction design Familiarity with responsive design methodologies for tablet and mobile solutions An understanding of the Agile development methodology Familiar with technologies such as NodeJS, CoffeeScript, and JS unit testing frameworks An interest in open source community solutions (Twitter Bootstrap for example) Company Description With more than 100,000 team members globally, we promote an environment that is rooted in the entrepreneurial spirit in which the company was founded.
