Venus vs. Mars (The New Era)
|
Posted By: Kimberly S. Smith on November 22, 2005 You’re somewhat right. But why commit to someone who’s not ready to commit themselves 100%. I don’t want 70 nor 90%, I want the 100%. And if I can’t get that, then why receive it? But to answer that question previously asked to me, I’m not trying to justify his behavior nor how I feel about it. I understand the fact that he’s just fresh out of long term relationship and almost married her. I knew the type of person he was prior to. I don’t want to PUSH him into another relationship because I don’t want him to resent me. I told him as of now, I don’t need a title, but don’t allow my efforts and time to be in vain. Don’t disrespect my mind, my body, nor my son. We are supposedly in a monogamous affiliation, but we’re allowed to have options, but don’t do what you wouldn’t want the other to do. It’s kind of a no ends situation. True enough we have backed each other in a corner. But I’ve already told him what would make me totally walk away from him and he’s told me the same. This situation is different. I can’t get my friends to understand that this is not a Mars vs. Venus war. Women can not just jump into a relationship, did people forget about dating????? Getting to know some one FIRST. It might feel like a relationship, but it's not until its CONFIRMED. So stop assuming ladies. This situation or relationship is about being realistic, I can spend time with someone, have love for them, without having to demand so much right then and there. A lot a women make the mistake of wanting everything at that moment. True, we can’t help the way we feel about people. They may even feel the same way. But rushing a relationship will only doom it. I’ve been dealing with him and realize that everything doesn’t have to be on my call. I’m not afraid of getting hurt. It’s a part of life. Every moment, pain, and suffrage that I live through makes me a stronger survivor. AM I mistaken?
