Are you ready to be entertained? Then the Annual President’s Gala for Texas Southern University is the place to be on Friday, October 18th. Performing at this year’s Homecoming event are four-time Grammy and Academy® Award winning vocalist Regina Belle and R&B and gospel singer and former lead vocalist of the R&B group Shalamar, Howard Hewitt. They will be joined by International Recording Artist Chris Walker, two TSU Alumni Natalie Foreman, Houston vocalist and Vincent Powell, an American Idol Finalist. The Ernest Walker Band will provide the music.



In addition to the musical entertainment, Texas Southern University will present awards to outstanding alumni and former students; Ricky Anderson, Winfred Frazier, Dale Long, Alice Mendoza, Perry Miller and Gerald Womack; community leaders and corporate and philanthropic partners, CenterPoint Energy, Keith Davis of D-Mars, Houston Endowment, Reverend Bill and Audrey Lawson and Port Authority of Houston.

The annual event is scheduled for Friday, October 18th at the Westin Galleria Hotel, located at 5060 West Alabama, Houston, TX – 77056 with a 6 p.m. reception and 7 p.m., dinner and awards presentation.

Tickets are $150 per person and are still available and may be purchased by calling the Alumni Relations and Special Events office at Texas Southern University at 713-313-1363 or via email at events@tsu.edu or visiting the website at www.tsu.edu.
