GOD, YOU ARE SO FUNNY IT HURTS!

Posted By: Ann Mack on October 04, 2013 September 7, 2012 Dear God, There are days when I force myself to laugh to keep from crying. The more I strive to emerge from the rubble of the drama in my life, the more it seems to find me. If I had no relationship with YOU to the point of knowing who YOU really are, I don’t know what I would do to stay sane. As I encounter persecution at the hands of those within my workplace, it helps me to remember the one who was sent to die so that I may have everlasting life. To know HE shared an experience similar to what I am feeling and have felt for quite some time is what pushes me to rise above the strife and turmoil. But, oh!, how it hurts and cuts deep within my soul! As if there is no marrow within my bones. To bring me to an awareness of what I would encounter, I heard YOU loud and clear refer to this environment as being the headquarters for demonic activity. At the time, I did not realize the full extent of that description. But as I become more and more aware of my surroundings and the people in it, I understand the supernatural to be more real than I care to believe. With each impactful event, however, hard to accept the reality of the increasing wickedness in high places, this darkness seems to be growing by leaps and bounds! I wanted so much to have a richer and more fulfilling hope in people. I wanted to believe they could not be easily influenced or misled by negativity. I did not want to believe they could be driven to seek pleasuring their flesh by acts of unrighteous intent deliberately. Always wanting to give others the benefit of the doubt, I search my heart repeatedly to forgive or to overlook the wrong that’s done to me or the limitations they attempt to place upon me. God, I know with great certainly that YOU are force training me through my experiences … and not just here … from sharpening my discernment to strengthening my will to mirror YOURS. I know YOU have chosen me to a calling not of my choosing and YOU are pushing me outside of my comfort zone. A zone and desire not to be in conflict or confrontation with anyone! For my first instinct upon encountering conflict of any kind is to run in the opposite direction as fast as I can! Although, I know the best teacher is experience, I must say I am TIRED. Nonetheless, whatever I am to get through it all, I want to get the appropriate teaching needed to jump start my mindset to propel me into action with no emotional attachment. If only I could turn off my emotions to the point of feeling no pain or having no fear of any kind to be the soldier most worthy of my calling, because I know that’s what YOU want! And more importantly, I know what YOU are doing in my life! YOU are tempering me like a precious metal. Because IRON SHARPENS IRON, YOU are refining me to resemble unbreakable, unmovable, unbending steel. YOU are rebuilding me and molding me. For YOU have sent me out on the front line of the battlefield to force me into a fight and not a flight mode to fight the good fight of faith! Does it feel good? NO WAY! As YOU teach me and push me out amongst the wolves, I am looking for a training ground with other Saints in learning SPIRITUAL WARFARE TO COMMAND AN IMMEDIATE CHANGE IN MY SURROUNDINGS …. IN THE ATMOSPHERE AS A WHOLE! Saints whom YOU have also sent out into the world to be a light in midst of the darkness! Saints who know what it is to resist the wilds of the devil in not allowing themselves to be pulled in and used or influenced to be unrighteous! I am tired of playing games with the enemy and his minions! I WANT TO BE THAT WARRIOR I AM CALLED TO BE! I want to wake up any day now to know I have gone through a complete transformation or metamorphic change? Yes, yes, yes! Not next week, next month or next year. Today, wake me with all YOUR knowledge, wisdom and understanding to fight the good fight of faith thus wearing an armor of steel and infused with the blood of JESUS.
