Greetings everyone

This e-mail not only serves to wish you all a HAPPY THANKSGIVING and holiday season, but also to inform you of the "Unparalleled" Pi Upsilon Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.'s latest event - BOWLING WITH THE SGRhos!! The promo that is hanging up around XU's campus is attached to this e-mail. This event will take place Thursday, December 1, 2005 at 8:22pm. The location of the event is Stone Lanes (3746 Montgomery Rd.), which is located within the XU shuttle's driving distance (for all those concerned with transportation). The admission is $5 with a canned good, and $7 without a canned good (these prices include shoe rental). If there are any additional questions, please contact me at sigmaxu@hotmail.com. The Ladies of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority and Men of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity in Cincinnati, Ohio will be hosting a joint Boatride on Aug. 12, 2006. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased by me. We are advertising to a mature crowd. Boarding will take place at 11pm - Boatride 11:30pm-2:30am. We will also have a kickoff cookout earlier for all boatride participants from 11:00am - 5:00pm in Eden Park.

I ask that you please support "Midnight Voyage". Contact me for tickets and share this info to friends, family, frat, sorors, coworkers, etc. Please send any payments (money order preferred) to the order of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc to the below address.

There are a number of volunteer opportunities with Epsilon Lambda Sigma this summer. Please email me privately if interested in helping out. We need about 5-7 people for each event.

CincyLatino Festival- July 15 and 16. We need people to work 5 hours or split 2.5 hour shifts ( National Bone Marrow)

Black Family Reunion- Aug. 19 and 20, We need people to work 5 hours shifts or split 2.5 hour shifts. (National Bone Marrow)

Su Casa festival- Hamilton County Fairgrounds- Aug 26 and 27, We need people to work all day. More details about the event to come.

Bengals Games- July 28 and 29, Aug 13@8pm, Sept. 9 and 17@ 1pm, Oct. 1@4:15p, 22@1p and 29@ 1pm. There are trainings that you must attend prior. You select one day: Weekdays are 6-9p and Weekends 12-3pm, June 27,29, July 5,6,11,13,15,18,20,22,24,26. Many of us are going on the July 15 training date.

Operation Big Book Bag packing Party- Late Aug.We need about 10-15 people to assist inn packing school supplies. it is usually held at the CAFA office in Jordans Crossing at Reading and Seymour.

Operation Big Book Bag Drop Off- Late Aug during the morning hours. We need 5-7 people to assist in delivering items to schools.

Please let us know which of the many volunteer opportunities that you would like to take advantage of this summer. We appreciate any and all support in our efforts towards "Greater Service, Greater Progress".

The Cincinnati Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. and Cincinnati African American Firefighters Association are coming together for their Annual Toy Drive. We will collect new toys such as dolls, cars, etc along with
monetary donations from October 1, 2006 through December 10, 2006. The
organizations will deliver items to Vine elementary and a selected
Cincinnati community. This is the 4th year that the group has worked
together on the toy delivery.

Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority's aim is to enhance the quality of life
within the community. Public service, leadership development, and
education of youth are the hallmark of the organization' s programs and
activities. Sigma Gamma Rho addresses concerns that impact society
educationally, civically, and economically.

CAFA strives to raise awareness of struggles of African American
firefighters and citizens in the city of Cincinnati and across the
nation. We are committed to educating our community, enhancing their
public safety awareness and assisting them with fire prevention. We
seek to help our children become role models, to help eliminate
disparities and discrimination within our Fire and Rescue Department,
while maintaining the health and safety of ourselves and the people
that we serve.
