Posted By: How May I Help You NC on March 04, 2014 The Department of Kinesiology at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro is seeking a Teacher Education Coordinator and Master Teacher for an academic professional position, Assistant/Associate Professor, non-tenure track, 3 year, renewable, 9-month appointment. Responsibilities include administering the PEHTE concentration, convening PEHTE faculty, coordinating with the School of Education; facilitating the NCATE accreditation process, recruiting, advising and mentoring PEHTE students, and teaching methods-related courses in the PEHTE major and other relevant courses for the Department and School. Specifically, teaching responsibilities include courses in elementary and secondary teaching methods and skill analysis, curriculum, teaching, and assessment of health and physical education (HPE) Pre-K-12. The successful candidate also will provide guidance to the PEHTE majors club and supervise public school practica and student teaching experiences.
