Gorilla Zoe 35*35 Entertainment, artist & producer Soufside releases his latest single “I’m Just Coolin” ft. IMG recording Gorilla Zoe” off his upcoming album.Coolin” ft. Already creating a wave throughout the southern club scene & internet community with its high energy catchy hook & mesmerizing melody, its destined to be one of the biggest anthems of the summer. His recent success with two of his last three singles charting within mediabase top 100 Hip Hop & R&B singles, his single “Hello” charting in the top 50, has motivated him to keep pushing for the very top of the charts. Born & raised in Columbus, Ms, Soufside often looks to his upbringing for inspiration. Coming from a city where talent is abundant but opportunity & hope is lacking, where the only synonymous name with the city is Tennessee Williams. Soufside made up his mind that he would put his name on a National and even International stage, to shine a light on his city. At an early age he showed musical promise, learning how to play instruments by ear, often mimicking the sounds he heard on the radio. Although he showed musical promise , by his teenage years it would ultimately be his athletic ability that earned a college football scholarship that won his time. In the summer of 2003, before leaving for college, Soufside with the encouragement of a childhood friend would join a local Hip hop label “Steel Magnolia” as an artist & producer. He form a group with another child hood friend 2EZ, & other group member Bizness. Throughout his early collegiate years, he would record & perform with the group until late 2005 when he decided to begin trying his hand as a solo artist. It was this change the sparked his transition into taking his musical career serious. After recording his very first song “So fresh that it’s Ugly” as a solo artist, by some twist of fate in the spring of 2006, while still attending Jackson State University, legendary Dj, Mix Master Ice of UTFO, ended up with the record & gave Soufside the encouragement to utilize his talents. By 2008 Soufside would become a full fledge solo artist. From there Soufside would begin to record mixtape projects, performing throughout North Mississippi & Alabama opening up for major acts. In 2009 he recorded a Mixtape titled “The Hood’s Hope” that featured a record that would end up in the hands of Clarence Weatherspoon, the CEO of Independent Record Label, 35*35 Entertainment. By late 2009 Soufside & the Label inked a deal that would ultimately get him to the national stage. Now with a blazing new single “ I’m Just Coolin” and previous charting singles, Soufside having collaborated with the likes of hip hop’s OG: Bun B, Gorilla Zoe, & the King of Southern Soul: Sir Charles Jones. Soufside is a name that everyone should learn to love, because they’re sure to be hearing it a lot in the near future.
