Posted By: Aliya Thompson on April 24, 2014

AbbVie recently partnered with HBCU Connect to recruit members for their Finance Development Program (FDP). The program prepares college graduates with majors in accounting and finance for financial management roles. The goal of the program is to identify and develop AbbVie’s future financial leaders. Ideal candidates will combine technical and business knowledge with analytical strength and creative problem solving abilities.

Each program member spends two years in the program, during which time you can expect to complete approximately four separate professional work assignments within roles such as:
· Financial Analysis

· Reporting & Controls
· Manufacturing Operations Accounting

AbbVie posted the position on the site and HBCU Connect member April Williams applied, interviewed and received an offer. She will start in July 2014. Congratulations to April Williams and HBCU Connect wishes April much success!
