Posted By: Lenora Magee-Howard on March 18, 2005 I'm scared cause i really want to go to howard but they're takin a long time to reply back and i thought i had a pretty good chance in getting in. And on top of that my dad said if i get accepted, i probably won't be able to go there cause we don't have the money but i'm applying to every scholarship comin my way. I got accepted to every college i applied to so far ( jus waitin on FAMU and Howard) if i don't get accepted to Howard (or can't go) catch me at CAU or Alabama A&M (Cause thier cheap enough and they got nice dorms...yipee)...but i wanna go to howard. GIRL...It's funny because I was in the EXACT same situation. The only 3 schools I wanted to go to was CAU FAMU or Howard. Howard is my dream and I got tired of waiting. So, I gave up on them. I said I was on my way to CAU but on 3/9/05 I called HU and talked to Mrs. West in the Admissions office 1 more time and she told me that I got accepted. It's coming. Just hold your head high and know that you can do it girl. I did. So, fall 2005, here I come. Did you file for the FAFSA? We don't have Howard Money either but I will be going there (I don't care what I have to do) I WILL BE at HU September 2005:)

Yeah Howard is extra extra late when it comes to giving you responses. The only way I found out my answer was because I applied online. Just call up to the office and most likely they will tell you if you are in or not, either straight up or they will hint at it. As for money, if they don't give you enough don't be afraid to ask for more, they might give it to you. Congrats on all ur other acceptances and HOPEFULLY I will see you at HU in the fall.

I'm with everyone else here. I think ur gonna get in. My sister is in the same situation luckily they were prompt with me, but she'll get in too. If u got into all the other colleges then u must have something they want. Just keep ur head up. Hope u get in!!!

Ok girl, I'm in the same position as you are... or atleast I was... my mother and i called the howard admissions office for a while and they would always tell us that they didnt have my info. So one day we called and we asked to speak specifically to the person that processes the first in my last name(since thats how they process apps, by last names) and I spoke to her and turns out they had my stuff and i had been accepted the receptionist was just too lazy to look. so just gotta call them and as far as money goes, look for every option. and congratulations
