Posted By: How May I Help You NC on April 25, 2014 Date: March 21, 2014 Title: Adjunct/Faculty – Economics, Early College Position number: 537 Work schedule: Monday – Friday (Day Time), Fall 2014 and Winter 2015 semesters Reports to: Department Head, Social Sciences Essential Job Functions - Teach Economics courses to a cohort of high school students during the day at an area high school (could mean teaching 3 to 4 times a week based on class period times). - Maintain accurate course records and submit related reports as requested. - Effectively assess student performance. - Advise students on curriculum requirements, job market needs, and employment trends. - Create a caring climate in the classroom. - Search for new strategies to facilitate learning, i.e. small group work, workshops, etc. - Incorporate new technologies and methods that enhance teaching and learning into his/her instructional methods. - Support the Department and College through other work normally expected of adjunct faculty members. - Attend an early college faculty orientation Click this link to view and apply for this job!
