SAN DIEGO CONTEMPORARY GOSPEL GROUP HIGHER AUTHORITY DROPS AMAZING SINGLE "SAY WOW"

Visit ITunes.com/HigherAuthority After a performance Higher Authority was walking off-stage and a man in the audience shouted out “That is what Heaven must sound like”! For over a decade, Higher Authority (Charity, Khristi, Vennetta and Zimika) have represented an interesting contradiction: gentle, caring, beautiful young women, yet aggressive and warlike when it comes to serving God by the lives they lead and the message they write in their songs. Their new EP includes songs produced by award winners, PKallday, Jeff McCullough, Lew Laing and Rodney Jones. The new single, “I’m His Favorite” is a perfect announcement of our place in the eyes of God. It simply states God is not mad at us, but is madly in love with us, and we are his favorite in all the world. “Say Wow” is a song that expresses their amazement of God. All the things that He has done, is doing, going to do and just who He is. While ministering one evening a Hispanic man expressed his love for the melody, however, he did not understand the lyrics much. With the desire to reach others, Higher Authority recorded the song in Spanish. The song “V.I.R.G.I.N.” hits the concerned areas of our culture today about promiscuity and combating it. Higher Authority is excited to be part of what God is doing in San Diego. Their songs have been played on KURS, San Diego’s first 24-hour gospel music radio show, have been interviewed by host Duane Watson on “In the spot light” and have attained airplay on KIFM with Eric J. Chambers hosting on “The Jazzspel Show”. Higher Authority is deeply devoted to their local community in San Diego, California. They have lent their voices to many outreaches. They partnered with various organizations, the Daniel Foundation which focuses on helping inner city youth, The San Diego Rescue Mission that inspires and equips woman and the “Get on The Bus: Sistas for Souls” tour in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their focus is always on sharing what God has placed on their hearts. They have performed at the First Annual Christian Film Festival Award Show. Higher Authority released their inspiring mixtape LP “Definition of a Remix” in 2008, with the songs, “Father” and the bold declaration “Not Today”. They received an award for Best Original Composition at the San Diego County Fair in the Acappella Contest for “I am” which demonstrates their intricate harmonies and flawless blending. Higher Authority’s passion for ministry as well as a respect for their platform is of great importance to each of its members. Charity, Khristi, Vennetta and Zimika all believe that their mission is to be a blessing to others. “Our prayer is that you be blessed by the lyrics of our songs and allow them to become more than just words but also a confession”.
