Milton Hershey Schools Hot Job: Head of School, Senior Division

Milton Hershey School® seeks a Head of School to oversee all functions for the 9th through 12th grade students, including the residential, academic (including career technical education) and health services components of the MHS student experience. The Senior Division currently has over 800 students enrolled and is expanding student enrollment. Preparation of MHS students for post-graduate success is paramount, and accountability for student outcomes is essential in this role.
 
The Head of School works extensively within the Division for successful and multi-faceted day-to-day operations. Additionally, the Head works closely with the Heads of Middle and Elementary Divisions to ensure alignment and consistency throughout the MHS student experience.

Requirements

• Master’s degree.
• Minimum of 10 years leading a function that entails oversight of residential, educational and health services for a large population of students or young adults.
• Demonstrated success in achieving positive outcomes for students.
• Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills, including demonstrated capabilities in successfully and collaboratively developing and implementing strategic direction.
• Experience with at-risk student populations preferred.
• Leading in unionized environments preferred.
• Candidates should demonstrate a high degree of integrity, as all MHS staff are considered role models for MHS students.
