DUTIES:

The Department of Veterans Affairs Illiana Health Care System, Danville,
Illinois is a teaching hospital in collaboration with the University Of
Illinois College Of Medicine, Urbana, Illinois - seeking a board certified/board
eligible Pulmonologist for Medical Service. Our facility includes 20 acute
medical beds, 125 geriatric beds and 75 mental health beds.

The Pulmonary section of medical service provides a full range of
clinical services:

inpatient and outpatient consultation

*
bronchoscopy

*
pulmonary
function testing

*
Oversight of respiratory therapy program, home
oxygen program, and sleep medicine services.

We provide care through many mediums:

telehealth

*
e-consults and

*
face to face care

The incumbent is expected to teach medical students and residents, participate in staff meetings and provide physician guidance to the Respiratory
Therapy department. No malpractice
insurance required and licensure in any state acceptable. Applications
from permanent residents will be considered if there are no qualified or
interested U.S. citizens.

Applicant's education and experience will be reviewed by a Professional Standards Board and Compensation Panel in determining the grade and salary of the applicant selected. The recommended salary may be at any oint in the range listed for this vacancy.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (7:30a.m. - 4:00p.m.) All physicians are considered 24/7 availability.
