"You deserve what?!"

Posted By: Parise B. Bailey on December 08, 2005 I recently had a conversation with a young lady who was trying to holla at me. Things seemed to be going well until she started in with this "I deserve" crap. I searched my brain fervently to find out where it is written that people deserve anything from life. I looked in the Bible, nothing there. Birth certificate, nothing there either. So where can it be? This idea has to exist in peoples' minds. Sad that there are people who will tell you that they deserve better than someone else. The most that a person deserves is a chance and that is not even guaranteed.This chick has no sheepskin, no job due to illness, but she can issue ultimatums about what I was going to do for her.
