Posted By: How May I Help You NC on May 21, 2014 Nebraska Wesleyan University is a liberal arts university emphasizing baccalaureate programs for traditional undergraduates, with selected master’s and adult degree-completion programs. The attractive 50-acre campus sits in a residential neighborhood of Lincoln, Nebraska’s capital city. Nebraska Wesleyan University is seeking to fill a full time, twelve-month, live-in Residential Education Coordinator position that will work with both first-year students in a traditional-style hall and upper class students in an apartment setting. The Residential Education Coordinator (REC) position is responsible for enhancing the living environment and community standards focus through facility management, Peer Assistant supervision, community council advising, initial to mid-level educational adjudication of conduct, as well as ensuring supportive academic, developmental, and service oriented experiences outside of the classroom. Serves as one of the central housing staff with responsibilities that include managing the move-in and move-out operation, coordinating campus summer resident support and services, coordinates yearlong assigned training programs, serving as a judicial officer and student support system outreach coordinator, coordinates the Hall Council program and training, and the annual update of all housing forms, policies, and procedures. First consideration candidates must have experience in housing and residence life, a good sense of humor and positive outlook, excellent communication skills with the ability to work with students, parents, faculty and staff. Strong organizational skills, demonstrated programming, and training experience are also important to the position. Experience with a small, residential campus environment is preferred. Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years experience is required with a Master’s degree preferred.
