Giving Them A Chance! Life Changing Leadership Camp For Male Minorities

Giving Them A Chance! Life Changing Leadership Camp For Male Minorities
Posted By: Reginald Culpepper on June 09, 2014

Elite Male LeadersCamp from July 21-25 for high school and college men.

At this program, over one hundred (100) minority male with different backgrounds and different geographic areas would be provided with the opportunities to learn from industry leaders. Students who attend will learn from the most successful leaders in the country. Students will receive the opportunity to interact with students from across the United States, while developing their Leadership, Business, and Money Management skills. With the current decline and negative statistics surrounding our young men, and our passion for their development, we implemented this program to combat the downward sloping trend of minority males.

Our LeadersCamp is designed to challenge and provoke leadership skills in the young people. This program was created with the intent to move our young people from good to great and create elite men. At this event students will have one on one experience with our speakers and mentors.

Specifically, it grants participants the opportunity to gain necessary skills as it relates to leadership and business. Through these efforts, we have inspired many participants to be leaders in their respective schools and communities.

We have a host of professionals and industry leaders serving as speakers and mentors during the LeadersCamp. The featured speakers include: Hezekiah Griggs, III, respected entrepreneur and founder of LeadersCamp; Derek Anderson, former NBA and NCAA Champion and author of 'Stamina'; Dr. Kenneth Coopwood Sr., Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion at Missouri State University; Brian Johnson, former U.S. Track Olympian and current head track coach of Southern University; Delatorro McNeall, II, award-winning speaker and peak performance expert; and Fenorris Pearson, Sr., former fortune 500 executive and best-selling author.

This program is scheduled to commence on July 21-25 2014, at Missouri State University.

..."Specifically, it grants participants the opportunity to gain necessary skills as it relates to leadership and business. "...

This sounds like a great opportunity, but when I clicked the link.... I discovered that there are fees rather than it being free or sponsored by a grant as well as the youth would have to be responsible for their own transportation(s). So in essence this is going to be a potentially unsuccessful event with few that need it showing up without the supportive resources for this under served and underprivileged group (Black boys).
See below...

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Registration costs vary based on where you live and the registration options available to you.

WHAT ABOUT TRANSPORTATION?
Participants must arrange for their own transportation to and from Missouri State University. Groups attending the camp may have additional transportation options.

And don't forget the costs of food and accommodations (lodging) in an already poor economy, sadly....
