BMe Awards $300,00 to Inspired Black Men, Hosts 2014 BMe Leader Awards in Baltimore, Detroit and Philadelphia

30 Everyday Black Men To Receive $10,000 Each For Their Community-Building Efforts;

Organization Strives To Empower & Promote Black Men As Community Assets

[MIAMI FL] BMe Community announces its 2014 BMe Leaders Award Ceremonies to be held next week in Philadelphia, Baltimore and Detroit.



The 2014 BMe Leaders (full list attached) have been announced, and BMe Community is set to recognize their enterprising efforts with local awards ceremonies attended by friends and supporters. At each event, 10 Black men will receive $10,000 in funding each to further their local community-building efforts. Local events are as follows (*this event is open to the press and BMe supporters only):



Philadelphia

June 24, 2014 - 6:30-8:30PM

The Impact Hub, 1227 N. 4th Street



Baltimore

June 26, 2014 - 6:30-9:30PM

Annie E. Casey Foundation, 701 St.



Paul Street



Detroit

June 28, 2014 - 10:00AM-2:00PM

Michigan State University Detroit Center



Various guest speakers -- including Senator Anthony Williams in Philly, Lydell Henry and Shawn Dove in Baltimore, and BMe Leader Rev. Dennis Talbert in Detroit -- will be on hand to welcome the 2014 LEADERS, as BMe thanks the entire pool of candidates who submitted project ideas in the areas of economic opportunity, youth development, violence prevention, the environment, health, and more.



In addition, BMe leadership will share details about the organization's upcoming plans, and ways to engage.
