Posted By: How May I Help You NC on June 30, 2014 Position Summary: The Manager of Public & Media Relations works with the Senior Director of Communications in developing and implementing PR strategies for NJPAC, its programming and education initiatives, and overall institutional identity. The Manager will also be responsible for various internal communications initiatives and cross-departmental communications. Candidates must have exceptional writing skills, and a strong working knowledge of traditional and online media. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: •Write performance press releases. •Coordinate publicity efforts and materials for NJPAC performances and education activities, including pitching and story placement. •Assist in coordination of materials and visuals for board, development, and government affairs initiatives, as needed. •Coordinate electronic distribution of digital assets and press releases and keep NJPAC’s Press Room up-to-date at NJPAC.org. •Expand NJPAC relationships with, national, regional, local, online and ethnic media and influencers. •Performance-night liaison with press. •Manage media ticketing efforts. •Assist in management of communications office interns. •Collaborate with Arts Education. Marketing and Programming departments, to develop stories about NJPAC’s performances and education offerings. •Assist in other public relations and communications tasks as needed.
