Posted By: Reginald Culpepper on July 24, 2014 Last night in New York City at the premier of the new medical drama for Cinemax called "The Knick" Cheyney alum and media correspondent Tanisha LaVerne Grant had an opportunity to chat with a star of the show actor Andre Holland. Mr. Holland who is a cerebral and seasoned actor of stage, film, and television will portray Dr. Algeron Edwards in this series which takes a look at the professional and personal lives of the staff at New York's Knickerbocker Hospital during the early part of the twentieth century. Directed by critcally acclaimed director Steven Soderbergh who in 2000 won an Oscar for Best Director for the film "Traffic" we can certainly expect to see the audacious aesthic shooting style in " The Knick" that Steven Soderbergh is known for. In this clip Andre Holland discusses what life is like on set and working with a visionary like Soderbergh. "The Knick" premiers August 8th on Cinemax.
