Posted By: Reginald Culpepper on July 24, 2014 Last night Cheyney University of Pennsylvania alum and media correspondent Tanisha LaVerne Grant was on the red carpet to cover the THIRD INSTALLMENT of Sean Combs REVOLT TV's community initiative, "HELLO HARLEM" -a summer series to benefit the BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB OF HARLEM (BGCH). Over 250 VIPs in business, philanthropy and entertainment gathered at CORNER SOCIAL to celebrate. VIP guests include Hisham Tawfiq (NBC's "The Blacklist" and the BET film "Gunhill"), Terry Lyon (Bravo's "Blood Sweat and Heels") Shirley Lewis (BGCH Chair and Board of Directors), Sapna Lal (entertainment lawyer), Orly Duran, Rooney Nelson and Mike Houston (The Nelson Group), Angela Barkan (VP of Media & Artist Development, Sony Music Masterworks), Vaughn Mack (Bad Boy Entertainment) Kwame Jackson (Apprentice) Anahi Angelone (Owner of Corner Social) and more. Sponsored by AQUAhydrate, Sean John and Ciroc, and supported by Harlem Park to Park, The Nelson Group and Uptown Magazine, the Hello Harlem evening was hosted by Hisham Tawfiq from NBC's "The Blacklist" and featured remarks by Kai Wright, REVOLT TV's VP of Communications, who acknowledged special guests and encouraged donation support. Mike Houston, VP of Account Management for The Nelson Group, did a fun interview with some of the children from the BGCH to talk about their favorite activities and why they love being a part of the organization. REVOLT's DJ HANNAH RAD kept the crowd moving while spinning on the 1s & 2s, and celebrated trumpeter, vocalist and composer THEO CROKER was accompanied by his band and gave an amazing performance featuring new songs from his new album "AFROPHYSICIST" - in stores now. The HELLO HARLEM summer series will continue every Monday through September 8, 2014. The next event will be held on Monday, July 28th at HARLEM TAVERN located at 2153 Frederick Douglas Blvd, Harlem, NY 10026. An exclusive red carpet experience, the event will feature a special showcase of performers from various BROADWAY shows presented by SONY MUSIC MASTERWORKS.
