Adam Fofana Helps Out at Heinz Refuge

Posted By: How May I Help You NC on August 07, 2014 Adam Fofana ’15 is participating in an educational and hands on summer job at the John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge at Tinicum in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, reports Casey Fabris of the Philadelphia Inquirer. Adam is one of six students helping to maintain the park for six weeks during the summer through the Student Conservation Association. Tasks vary from tending plants to replacing park benches. Already this summer Adam and his team have completed several projects including tending to and mulching the parks ten miles of trails. The to-do list the group was given at the beginning of their work was completed in two weeks—but there is always more to be done, wrote Casey in the article.
