Digital Travels (How did Technology help me explore the World)

Posted By: Parrish Billups on August 10, 2014 Good Morning Bloggers and Readers, It is now 8:49am Eastern Pacific and the topic I am writting on today is …Tahdaahhh !… “How did Technology help me explore the World”. I don’t even know where to start on this topic guys. It is the year two thousand and four-teen. It’s amazing how technology just keep getting better and better over time with exploring any parts of the world even on a small scale for looking at house, apartments, or buildings to buy or rent out. So today on this blog, since I can pretty much go on forever on the topic and I’m not trying to kill my Bloggers and Readers on my topic. I’m going to talk about How did it help me explore the world on a local level, a national level, and a global level so lets get started. image On a local level, the computer is pretty much awesome for everything you do. Especially for me, I’m twenty one years of age and had a awesome job working at Verizon, so when I my finances straight and got on my feet I didn’t have time to look for a place only because of those crazy hours they worked me. I think the first place I tried searching was to Google search. I mean come on right there that should tell you on a local level how it help me explore the world. So then I typed in my state and my city and a whole lot of things popped up as far as housing I didn’t even know where to start so from there I click on a site Forrent.com and I fell in Love. It had pictures of different apartment duplexes and so forth. Different areas and also had digital tours for me to explore them all from my little ole laptop. The next site I happen to find was the all popular Craigslist now I have used Craigslist before, but i didn’t know they did apartments for rent. So, as I skimmed down the site and saw housing I was in shock because I thought you could only buy or sell items off of that site..I know your thinking “This guy is so not in the times”, Haha . But I clicked on it and showed me apartments,housing, rooms you named it it was there. Some had pictures some did not. I saw all this in a matter of seconds didn’t even have to move my feet or lose my seat. Technology helped me a lot on a local level. It made me utilize the little time that i had to get the serious things out the way without wasting the time of travel, and this is just on local scale..Imagine going to the national which I’m about to discuss now. image Alright so now we go into the national scale. I’m going to switch it up a bit because the bigger the scale..Not bigger, but broader the scale is the more sub-topics come into play, like the first topic was just on housing alone and me exploring diffrent places locally. ie..housing within does different cities. This time bloggers and readers I’m going to tell you about my trips nationally to diffrent states. First time I went to new york if you read my about/description in my first blog I’m a drummer and I preform with a non-profit community band and we travel. My first trip was to New York and we stayed with a fellow band.We didnt even have to use a computer to buy our bus, because it was only twenty two of us. We used a iphon image Man if these things don’t do everything when it comes to just trying to find stuff . Booking tickets for planes, trains, and buses. Movie showings and so much more. So when my assistant band director book the tickets. He even showed what hotel we were staying at. I was so amazed at the time it was in a part of New York called Florence and the hotel had like a club on one very top floor and a market on the bottom floor. I was so amazed on what his phone did I had to get one haha. This little thing could do it all and I was the owner of a HTC device which was a android phone..every one said a android phone was better, but i guess it really came up to preference. I know my phone couldn’t book planes, trains, and movies all at the snap of a thumb. So, on a national level me exploring the world that’s how technology helped me. Now FINALLY! on to global image Now, i’m not going to go into depth about this sub-topic only because the average person does this daily and all the time. Every time we cut on the new we see different parts of the world either with there accomplishments or problems. Majority of the people in the United States knows whats going on overseas then what’s is actually going on on a national scale or even on a regional scale. We explore everyday when we turn on the Television far as news channels, history channels, or animal channels so this sub-topic really doesn’t need touching on because this is apart of pretty much every ones normal life, in witch it wasn’t like that at first, but hey got to save that topic for another blog =D..I think this about raps up this blog people please feel free to comment like or anything..
