Hornets News: NCCo Chapter of DSU Alumni Association to hold annual Scholarship Luncheon Aug. 17

The New Castle County Chapter of the Delaware State University Alumni Association will hold its 33rd annual Scholarship Luncheon at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17, at the Cavaliers Country Club, 100 Addison Drive, Newark, Del. 19712.

The event’s keynote speaker will be Mr. Ty Couey, president of the National Organization of College Parents Inc.



In addition, the chapter will honor the following organizations and individuals who have contributed a variety of gifts to the uplift of our local community and toward the advancement of our beloved Delaware State University:

-- Ezion Fair Baptist Church, Dr. C.T. Curry, senior pastor
-- Nnamdi O. Chukwuocha, 1st District Wilmington City Council member
-- Dr. Andrew J. Goudy, chairperson, Department of Chemistry, Delaware State University
-- K.I.S.H. Home Inc. (Kingdom Investments in Single Hearts), Kishma A. George, founder and president

Tickets are $50 and can be purchased by calling Ned Brown at (302) 592-6203. For more information, call Mr. Brown at the same number.

Proceeds from the luncheon will go toward scholarships for students who attend DSU.
