Alexandra Shipp stars as Danielle (Dani) Bolton, an upper-class Brooklyn girl who defies her parents in order to attend Atlanta A & T so she can join – and revitalize – their once-prominent drumline. Leonard Roberts reprises his role as Sean Taylor, who comes on board as the new A&T Band Director looking to make a mark. Nick Cannon is exec producing and also reprises his role as Devon Miles in a cameo. Drumline: A New Beat is set to premiere on VH1 this fall.
