Successful candidates will have the opportunity to help implement a unique and bold vision for our students that will be a conduit to a remarkable public education in Williamsburg-James City County. With a vision to become the premier school division in the Commonwealth, WJCC is seeking high-caliber professionals to further develop the district’s record of excellence. Surrounded by water and near the beautiful Chesapeake Bay, Williamsburg is conveniently situated within driving distance to over 60% of the U.S. population. The successful candidate provides leadership for budget, finance, and business affairs and ensures funding of programs that support the Strategic Plan for a school division with 11,000 students, 1,800 employees, and a $120M budget. This position collaborates with Senior Directors and makes recommendations to the Superintendent regarding the financial status of the Division while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. This position is full-time, offering a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package, and membership in the Virginia Retirement System.
