Bucknell University seeks to hire an Investment Analyst.

Reporting to the Director of Investments, this full-time position will be primarily responsible for assisting with the qualitative and quantitative analysis of existing and prospective investment managers of the investment assets of the University. This position works as an integral member of a team with the Vice President for Finance and Administration, the Chief Investment Officer, the Treasurer & Controller, Investment Accounting & Operations Analyst, and Finance Office staff in the overall financial management of Bucknell University.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Works with the Investment Office (IO) staff to:

Source prospective investment managers from contracted databases, Investment Committee members, industry contacts, and IO staff;

Perform all levels of diligence and analysis on both existing and prospective investment managers, including

Assist with the continued formalization of the internal investment due diligence process for screening, analyzing, and selecting new investment managers;

Review of pertinent documents, such as PPM's, ADV's, DDQ's, audited financials, etc.;

Assistance with ongoing diligence of existing managers including participation in conference calls, annual meetings, and organization of independent meetings/reviews/visits/calls as required;

Scheduling of conference calls, on-site diligence meetings, and reference calls as part of the due diligence on prospective new investment managers;

Preparation of Investment Diligence Memos;

Maintain the IO investment management database, establishing peer fund benchmarks for existing managers, and closely followed prospective managers by asset class;

Research global financial markets, asset classes, and investment vehicles;

Prepare reports for the Investment Committee of the Board of Trustees;

Represent Bucknell at industry conferences and events.

2. Assist Finance and Investment Office personnel with the preparation of supporting schedules and reconciliations for industry surveys, Moody's quarterly liquidity reviews, annual and semi-annual endowment reports, and other reporting requirements of the University.

3. Provide additional support for requirements of the annual audit.

CFA charter holder, or willingness/interest to pursue Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

One to two years of experience in analyzing and diligencing investment managers across multiple asset classes

Ability to communicate effectively with University constituents in both written and oral forms.

Appreciation for and understanding of a Finance and Investment Office's role in a University setting including a focus on service and ability to work within a collaborative team environment.

Ability / willingness to travel domestically and overseas (potential travel at least 20% of time)
