APPLICATION FOR L’Oreal USA’s MBA MARKETING INTERNSHIP

A Taste of L’Oréal is a unique recruitment weekend for 1st year MBA students interested in a career in Marketing. Over the course of the weekend you will have the chance to network with senior L’Oréal executives, work on a case study, and interview for a position in the 2015 summer internship program.

Below you will find the registration requirements and the application questions. Be sure to read and complete them in their entirety. This will ensure that your application will be submitted correctly and that your candidacy will be considered.

Application Process and Timeline:

  1. Registration deadline is Sunday, November 9th.
  2. All applications will be reviewed and all students will be notified in mid-December of a decision.
  3. To be considered, you must be available all day Friday, January 23rd through Sunday, January 25th for the events and travel.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Current 1st year MBA with an expected graduation between Winter 2015 and Spring 2016
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and creativity
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
  • A desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, challenging environment
  • Strong computer skills (particularly Excel, Powepoint, etc.)
  • Geographical flexibility and openness to international assignments
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or already authorized to be legally employed on an ongoing basis in the United States based on visa or immigration status and be able to provide documentation as such

The L’Oréal Luxury Division (LLD):
L’Oreal Luxe Division has a diversified high-end brand portfolio which includes: Lancôme, Kiehl’s, Clarisonic, Urban Decay, Giorgio Armani, Yves Saint Laurent Beaute, Ralph Lauren, Diesel, Viktor and Rolf and a variety of other European Fragrance Designers. Most recently, they have launched a brand within the division, em michelle phan, a new makeup brand inspired by fans, co-created with Michelle. Luxe marketers have a discerning eye and a tenacious resilience; they are visionary leaders with sensitivity to the world of the high-touch market. The Luxe Division seeks talented individuals who have strong analytical capabilities while maintaining an utmost focus on the consumer’s needs, wants and experience. A Luxe marketer displays an understanding of current luxury retail channels, including digital and other emerging channels of distribution. Strengths include an acute attention to detail, a long-term vision and the ability to communicate a story. These traits are necessary to maintaining the Division’s leading position in both the US and Global markets.

 Consumer Products Division (CPD):
As a leader in fast-moving consumer products goods, the mission of the Consumer Products Division (CPD) is to offer high-technology, high-quality products to the greatest number of consumers at affordable prices. CPD provides opportunities to work in inspiring beauty categories including Cosmetics, Hair Care, Hair Color and Skin Care within five iconic brand leaders, L’Oreal Paris, Maybelline, Garnier, Essie, and Soft Sheen-Carson. CPD seeks talented individuals with a passion for the beauty business and an understanding of the needs and drivers for consumers who shop through mass distribution channels: Mass (e.g. Walmart, Target); Drug (e.g. CVS, Walgreens), and Food (e.g. Kroger, Safeway, Meijer). The Consumer Products Division is known as a “School of Excellence” in Marketing and Brand Management.  Marketing professionals in this division are ambitious, driven, strategic leaders; possessing impactful communication skills. Strengths include a strong aptitude for market data and analysis tools, and the ability to summarize large amounts of data to create a vision and achieve business results.
