Posted By: Huston-Tillotson University on December 15, 2014 (AUSTIN, Texas) 12.15.14 — Huston-Tillotson University’s Dr. Joyceia Banner and Dr. Rosalee Martin have received the Sam Taylor Fellowship Award for the 2014-15 academic year. The award, specifically for The United Methodist Church-related colleges and schools in Texas, supports faculty continuing education and development. Banner is an Assistance Professor of Business Administration, and Martin is the Interim Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, Professor of Sociology. Martin’s continued research is testing the participatory approach to classroom instruction in order to enhance student learning. Banner’s studies focus on global urbanization and its effects on economies, societies, cultures, and environments.
