Posted By: Hija Chang on January 09, 2015 Boston College Introduction The Director provides leadership for the planning, direction, and assessment of all student development aspects of the Office of Residential Life. The Director will oversees the development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of all programmatic efforts in the residence halls and provides direction and guidance in the interpretation and application of university rules and regulations by overseeing the residential life conduct system. Requirements * Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration or related discipline * Minimum of eight years of experience as a full time professional residential life/housing administrator * Minimum of five years of experience in residential life dealing with student development, programming, and staff supervision * Demonstrated experience and commitment to diversity * Knowledge and experience in the supervision and training of professional and paraprofessional staff * Demonstrated knowledge of student development theory and program development as applied to residential life programming * Knowledge of student learning outcomes development and the assessment of student learning and residential programs * Strong presentations and reports writing skills * Experience dealing with student crisis and at-risk student needs * Strong knowledge and experience in working with academic programs and living-learning programs This is a live off position which has on-call responsibilities and some nights and weekend responsibilities.
