DELAWARE STATE UNIVERSITY TO HOLD ANNUAL MLK JR. NATIONAL HOLIDAY PROGRAM JAN. 19

Posted By: How May I Help You NC on January 12, 2015 DOVER, Del. – Delaware State University will celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. as its holds its annual MLK Jr. National Holiday Program at 12 noon Monday, Jan. 19 in the Education and Humanities Theatre on campus. The event is free and open to the public. The keynote speaker will be James Collins, the Chief Information Officer for the state of Delaware, a cabinet post in which he oversees the state Department of Technology and Information. He has previously served as the deputy Secretary of State for Delaware and as the director of the Division of Professional Regulation. Mr. Collins has also served during the last two decades as a minister at Victory Christian Fellowship of Dover. During the program, there will be performances by the Sankofa African Dance Company, the Sankofa String Orchestra, Mt. Zion AME Children’s Choir of Dover, as well as praise dancer Jasmine Roberts.
