Posted By: How May I Help You NC on January 22, 2015 The President of Burlington County College should be a visionary leader who can work decisively to enhance and expand the vital academic and workforce education role that BCC plays in its community and address, among others, the following challenges and opportunities: -Promote BCC as it continues to deliver on its strong legacy of high-quality service to the citizens, contributing to the economy of Burlington County and positioning the institution to meet the evolving needs of students in a rapidly changing economy. -Identify new sources of revenue as the College meets the demands and challenges of declining enrollment and revenue. Burlington County College seeks a president with the ability to: -Foster a culture of open communication with all constituent groups (students, faculty, staff, etc.) where innovation, creativity and diversity are valued and encouraged. -Work respectfully and collaboratively with the BCC Board of Trustees, faculty, staff and students. -Support the College and the Burlington County College Foundation by pursuing alternative sources of revenue to benefit the College and its students. -Promote and implement BCC’s mission and place a high priority on critical issues including developmental education, retention and student success. -Build lasting relationships with the community, businesses and business leaders in Burlington County and New Jersey. -Develop and implement workforce development programs and initiatives. -Understand and address issues associated with classroom teaching. -Meet the challenges associated with a multi-campus institution. -Prepare for and manage educational accreditation processes. -Inspire leadership and accountability within the College community. -Advocate for vocational and technical educational programs and initiatives. -Interact cooperatively with educators at K-12 levels to address ongoing issues relating to remediation and basic skills. To be considered as a candidate for the Burlington County College President vacancy, the following application materials are required: -Current resume /curriculum vitae (C.V.). -Letter of interest addressing key elements of the Presidential Profile (not to exceed three (3) pages). -Reference list with the names of five (5) professional references including names, home and business telephone numbers and email addresses. -Completed Presidential Candidate Overview.
