Posted By: How May I Help You NC on January 30, 2015 DIRECTOR, OFFICE FOR COMMUNITY FACULTY UNIVERSITY OF NEVADA SCHOOL OF MEDICINE RENO, NV The University of Nevada School of Medicine offers an exciting opportunity for an innovative and energetic individual to serve as the Director of the newly developed Office for Community Faculty (OCF). As a community-based medical school, it is vital that the University of Nevada School of Medicine (UNSOM) maintains strong and productive relationships with the community physicians in northern Nevada. The primary role of the Office for Community Faculty and the Director is to enhance relationships with community partners, while continuously seeking out new relationships within the healthcare community to educate our learners. The Director and the OCF serve as the primary contacts for community faculty members for all issues pertinent to the partnership between an individual physician or a group practice and the University of Nevada School of Medicine and act as a steward to maintain the relationship. The Director works closely with the Assistant/Associate Deans for Graduate Medical Education and Medical Education and has frequent communication with block directors, clerkship and elective directors, residency program directors and other faculty to ensure resources are appropriately utilized. The OCF resides in the Office of Academic Affairs and the Director reports to the Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs.
