The Department of Geography and the Meadows Center for Water and the Environment at Texas State University invite applications for an Endowed Chair in Water Conservation to begin Fall 2015. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an externally funded research program that addresses the management and conservation of water resources in the context of environmental and human needs. Applicants must have an established externally-funded research record in water conservation and be qualified for tenure and appointment at the rank of Full Professor in the Department of Geography. Applicants with a distinguished career in non-academic positions may also be considered for appointment as Professor of Practice. Salaries and start-up packages are competitive and commensurate with experience.
Applicants must electronically submit 1) a letter of application outlining their research and teaching experiences and the compatibility of their work with the mission of the Department of Geography and the Meadows Center; 2) a curriculum vitae; and 3) the names and contact information for three references.

Please submit all application materials to the search committee chair, Dr. David Butler. Review of applications will begin March 2, 2015 and continue until the position is filled. Please indicate “Endowed Chair in Water Conservation” in the subject line of all emails related to this search.
