Posted By: Will Moss on May 13, 2015 MARKETING MANAGER – MARKETING TEAM ROLE OVERVIEW: We’re seeking a detail-oriented, tech-savvy marketer with strong writing skills and a sense of humor to join the KIPP Marketing Team as our Marketing Manager. In support of fundraising, recruitment, and advocacy efforts, this position will drive all national marketing communications at KIPP, with a focus on online channels including our website, email campaigns, and social media. This position will be located in New York. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Drive monthly communications and messaging calendar, project managing campaign creation and execution Manage KIPP’s social media presence across platforms, collaborating with PR, Development, Recruitment, Government Affairs, and Program Teams to curate, draft, edit, and schedule content Collaborate with teams across the organization to draft, edit, and update website content through our content management system Work with various authors (from our CEO to KIPP alumni) to outline, edit, format and publish regular blog content through WordPress Handle end-to-end production and deployment of emails, including planning, formatting, testing, deploying, and campaign reporting using Emma Generate monthly metrics reports and quarterly messaging reports to recognize performance trends and improve upon our current strategy Author website copy, social media content, and blog posts as needed Assist with additional marketing projects as needed Travel on occasion for national events, school visits, and other projects as needed. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing and/or relevant field of study 3-5 years of relevant work experience with preference for knowledge of education sector Expert knowledge of social media networks such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc. and experience incorporating them into marketing campaigns Strong writing skills, with expertise in writing for web, social media, and email Project management skills required with an ability to manage time and multiple priorities with a variety of internal and external stakeholders necessary Prior experience working with Google Analytics, email marketing platforms, content management system/s, and the Adobe Suite preferred Experience working in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional organization a plus COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
