EVERYONE IS MISSING THE POINT; President Obama is not excusing the terrorist acts! He is trying to get us to look at ourselves "as a whole" in considering a more GODLY approach to reaching a viable solution in this season and the next to come .....
long-term! As so called “proclaimed” Christians, many of us know very little about who God is to include HIS EXPECTATION of us! And all too often, we fail to study (2 Timothy 2:15) His word to live out the word in our lives accordingly. Walking in the Spirit and living out the word of God is more than just reading the word and going through the motions. We talk a good game, but we have let God down in so many ways. First, we take no responsibility for our actions. Second, by not repenting for our actions and humbling ourselves, we also refuse to hold ourselves accountable for those actions committed against others while making countless excuses. Too often, we say one thing while doing another. That sends a very bad message to others who do not have a clue about the real concept or meaning of Christianity. Have you not considered the message you send to those on the outside who are looking at us to show them the way? And yet, we wonder why there has been a war against Christianity. In the words of Gandhi, he once stated “I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians! President Obama has not made a mockery out of this country! Americans who subscribe to outdated viewpoints enforcing their refusal (inability and unwillingness) to see the Truth and acknowledge the need for change have made a mockery out of this country. President Obama merely stated the facts surrounding historical events as they have taken place in America whereby people have used “religion and tradition” inappropriately and unjustly (outside of the WILL OF GOD) as a deciding factor for evil (ill-gotten) gain. And like many people who are not willing to accept responsibility for their actions, they object to being called out on their mess (i.e., being exposed; Luke 8:17). Especially, not by a black man who they thought would never and should never ever reside in such a role as the President of the United States. But, God is Love! (1 John 4:8) HE is no respecter of persons (Romans 2:11)! Each and every individual person on earth is a child of God’s - regardless of our religious beliefs (or viewpoints). There is one race, the human race and all of civilization began with Noah after the flood. And yet, we insist on allowing ourselves to be influenced by the spirit of bigotry (prejudices) in how we relate to and regard one another instead of being led by the Holy Spirit as TRUE FOLLOWERS OF CHRIST. At any rate, the Bible speaks to us seeking to be CITIZENS OF THE KINGDOM with the mindset of choosing to carry-out God’s mission (objective or agenda) … not our own! For God is not about division (Romans 16:17, 1 Corinthians 1:10) nor is HE the author of confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33)! A number of your responses seem to border on hatred (1 John 3:15) and racism (Romans 10:12-13). Before we respond or react to anything, as Christians (followers of Christ) we need to review all the facts, pray and ask God for direction (HIS WISDOM, HIS KNOWLEDGE, HIS UNDERSTANDING) through the HOLY SPIRIT.
