Posted By: Will Moss on May 23, 2015 Tuskegee University is the best of the nation's top 25 Historically Black Colleges and Universities at delivering what's important to incoming freshmen, according to online publication College Choice. The rankings weigh factors like academic reputation, financial aid offerings, overall cost, and success of graduates in the post-college job market. The rankings were compiled using data from U.S. News & World Report, the National Center for Education Statistics and PayScale.com. The only other Alabama institution on the list was Alabama A&M University at No. 24. The site praised TU's reputation, curriculum and salary potential for its graduates. The university ranked No. 6 among all Alabama institutions in the latter category, with an average starting salary of $50,700. Tuskegee University President Brian L. Johnson called the ranking "an affirmation of both Tuskegee's great tradition and its great trajectory." Tuskegee will launch the first of eight fully online accredited degree programs this fall.
