SWAC Schools in Eugene for NCAA Nationals

EUGENE, Ore. - The Alabama State Hornets and the Prairie View A&M Panthers are all set to represent the Southwestern Athletic Conference at the 2015 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships starting Wednesday. Hayward Field located on the campus of the University of Oregon is the host site June 10-13. The NCAA will start a new format this season as the men's events will take place Wednesday and Friday while women's events will be on Thursday and Saturday. Michael Prejean (PVAMU) will compete in the 110 meter hurdles and the 400 meter hurdles. Santina Williams will get the action started for ASU Thursday evening with her appearance in the 400 meter dash. In the final event of the, the 4x400m relay, Williams will join Tatiana Etienne, Alexis Ferebeeand Kimberly Wedderburn on the track looking to move into Saturday's finals. Prejean is the second straight athlete from Prairie View to compete for a national championship. This is the first ever trip to nationals for ASU’s 4x400 meter relay team. The ESPN family of networks is scheduled to carry the Championships.
