Staples, Inc. Partners with HBCUConnect.com to recruit diverse candidates online. Apply Today!
Posted By: Will Moss on June 29, 2015

In what is developing into a growing, national trend, Staples (www.staples.com) has recently joined the ranks of several other national employers by forming a new partnership with the largest organization of students and graduates from Historically Black Colleges & Universities, HBCUConnect.com. The move will expand the company's current capability to match available positions with qualified African American candidates.

Available job opportunities listed on HBCUConnect.com include entry-level positions such as sales associates through more senior positions, including assistant managers, human resources business consultants and certified technicians. Interested candidates are encouraged to post their resume online in order to apply easily to these or other positions listed on HBCUConnect.com. Similar employers already represented on the website include OfficeMax, Target and Lowe's.

“There is a national trend developing wherein major corporate brands are identifying the unique advantages present from minority hires," explains Will Moss, founder and CEO of HBCUConnect.com.

“Our website is a well-established employment resource for prominent corporations and companies that understand the many ways workplace diversity can benefit their business as a whole.”

Staples believes that attracting African-Americans and other members of underrepresented minority groups is only one aspect of promoting diversity. The company also seeks out opportunities beyond the immediate workplace to support suppliers and product manufacturers that share a similar commitment to diversity, frequently contracting with smaller, minority- and women-owned businesses.
Kudos to Staples!

The partnership between HBCUConnect.com and Staples, Inc., as well as any new employers that are hiring, will be announced in the HBCU newsletter. To subscribe simply visit www.hbcuconnect.com/subscribe
