We are excited about convening the leaders and volunteers of the organizations that serve the nation’s best kept secrets – Historically Black Colleges and Universities. The goals of the conference are to engage participants in thought-provoking discussions on the challenges of HBCUs in the 21st Century, such as political attacks and threats of closures or mergers, fundraising strategies to strengthen alumni associations’ core missions, and examining the overall health of the alumni associations, ensuring relevant communication methods are implemented, governing documents are current and appropriate, and succession planning for future leadership is in the forefront of strategic planning. Whether you are a current, past or aspiring leader of your alumni association, please join us at the 2015 Alumni Leaders Conference. It will be worth the trip! We look forward to your attendance. Special Feature: The Conference will feature workshops based on the Sustainable Operating Strategies (SOS) Model for HBCU Alumni Associations, which was created by NHBCUAA for alumni leaders to use as a resource to improve the efficiency and performance of their organizations. The SOS Model incorporates strategies and initiatives using four critical elements: 1. Education and Training 2. Strategic Partnerships 3. Fiscal Operations 4. Governance FRIDAY, JULY 31, 5:00 – 8:30 PM: 5:00 – 6:30 pm: HBCU Alumni Presidents’ Roundtable.
