Urban Schools Collaborative Presents RoboCampTSU - August 3 - 14, 2015

Chicago, IL and Houston, TX - In its search for proven and flexible instructional programs to serve its mission of, “empowering students, parents, teachers, administrators and community leaders in an effort to develop independent learners”, The Urban Schools Collaborative, headquartered in Houston, TX, announced today the selection of Quadrant 4’s suite of student acceleration and remediation products which includes the Brainchild Achiever! and Brainchild Mechanics series.

Ms. Paula Ware M.Ed., Founding Director of Urban Schools Collaborative explains, “We were looking for the best, most effective way of delivering meaningful instruction in math, literacy and science aligned to the state’s education standards.  The Brainchild suite’s unique instructional approach lets our students access high-quality lessons and assessments with extreme fidelity - whether or not an instructional center is connected to the Internet.”  Ms. Ware continued to explain, “In our testing, we found that students who spend at least 30 minutes per day on Quadrant 4’s Brainchild exercises, show a consistent improvement in their understanding of the subject they are studying.

We have seen staggering improvements, sometimes as high as 30%, when we compare the students’ pre and post-exercise assessment data.”

Quadrant 4 will be supporting The Urban Schools Collaborative’s Summer 2015 program by providing its latest, standards-aligned literacy, math and science curricula.  Each student enrolled in the Houston area summer programs will have access to a personalized learning plan, which they can access online through a web browser, or Quadrant 4’s customized learning tablet.  These summer “STEAM” (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) programs introduce at-risk children to science and math through fun and engaging projects, augmented by Quadrant 4’s award-winning Brainchild instructional technologies.  These STEAM programs, managed by The Urban Schools Collaborative, are offered through a number of not for profit, community based organizations.  Community Based Organizations served by The Urban Schools Collaborative and the Brainchild programs for Summer 2015 include  Houston Area Urban League (HAUL),  Houston Museum of African American Culture (HMAAC), Odyssey Preparatory Academy, and  Texas Southern University.

To sign your student up, enroll online at www.educ8ion.com. Enrollment fees are: $100/tuition; $75/registration; and $25/supplies (waived for TSU employees). Inquiries can be made via email at camp@educ8ion.com or by calling 713-659-9311.
