NFL Training Camp underway with 15 former SWAC players active

Several former Southwestern Athletic Conference players are vying for spots as NFL training camps are in full swing across the league.
 
Although rosters will remain in flux until the final cuts, with changes made daily, as of Wednesday evening there were 15 former players camp rosters.



Seven conference schools have at least one player that is currently active led by Alabama State with four.  Alabama A&M, Grambling State, Southern and Arkansas Pine Bluff each have to players in camp.

The latest additions from the SWAC are Carolina Panthers defensive end Arthur Miley who was first-team All-SWAC in 2014 with 59 tackles and seven sacks for Southern along with former Texas Southern 4th rounder Trey Walker who was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens this past spring.
