LET IT GO TO ALLOW SOMETHING BETTER

Walt (my husband) and I will be presenting at the National Conference for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) employees this week. 

We went to my favorite spiritual bookstore, Alexandria to see if I could find some earrings, ( they have a beautiful collection of jewelry), for the event.

I didn't find anything. However, just as I was about to leave the book store, a smiling store clerk asked me did I need help finding anything. When I described what color earrings I was looking for, she said, "I have just the thing."

She showed me a beautiful pair of aqua aura quartz polished gemstone crystal earrings. I had never seen this type of gemstone before, even though I studied about crystals in my twenties. I felt rather blessed, because the earrings were so unique, and this was the only pair in the store.

The clerk explained that the properties of the crystals are known for metaphysical healings; helpful for spiritual growth. It cleanses and heals your auric field; relieves anxiety, depression; and attracts wealth and success.

Wow, I thought. Those earrings do all of that? Sold.

While Walt drove us home, I put on the left earring, and as I was about to put the other in my right ear, somehow it dropped. Truth be told, it seemed to jump out of my hands. No kidding.

Walt joked since the earrings carried a powerful crystal vibration, it obviously didn't like my energy and tried to get away.

I thought that was funny until we got home, and we searched the car from top to bottom.

How could that earring just vanish? I knew it didn't fall out of the car. I was careful opening the door so it wouldn't fall out.

The rest of the evening after searching the car at least five more times, I lamented over the "lost earring". Walt got tired of hearing me complain, and tuned me out.

Believe me, I don't get attached to things, especially things I wear, but I actually felt like crying out of frustration. The mystery over the disappeared earring was not just puzzling. It was almost becoming spooky. Where could it be?

I wondered what this meant? Was I subconsciously attaching to this earring because it was supposed to have special energies? However, everything in this world has energy.

I even became angry at myself for putting such attention on a piece of crystal. After all, I did have other earrings to wear, even though they weren't as nice.

All I could figure out, was that subconsciously I believed that I needed the earrings for my presentation. After all, they put crystals in watches and even in space ships, so it is something to how crystals affect the vibrations in our bodies. Did I think the earrings were going to make a big difference in my presentation? Nothing comes from outside of yourself. All is your own consciousness, which makes a difference to what you attract in your life.

Late that night, I finally released thinking about the "lost" earring. Just gave it up.
