Huston-Tillotson University to Host Its Second Annual Building Green Justice Forum

Posted By: Huston-Tillotson University on September 14, 2015 (AUSTIN, Texas) 9.14.15 — The community is invited to Huston-Tillotson University’s (HT) Second Annual Building Green Justice Forum (Cultivating Food Justice), scheduled Thursday, September 24, 2015, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the campus at 900 Chicon Street. The forum brings activists, community members, students, and researchers to explore food issues and empower informed action. Speakers, panelists, and workshop facilitators will guide the discussion through knowledge and action building about food access, local and global food systems, community-based solutions, nutrition, and health impacts, to name a few topics. Participants can also learn from other’s experiences, leverage cross-network opportunities, and reinforce Austin’s growing food justice community. Huston-Tillotson University’s student organization Green is the New Black™, in addition to The Dumpster Project, and Third Coast Activist Resource Center have partnered as hosts.
