Homecoming Crown Forum Speaker Sháka Rasheed ’93 Urges Students to Claim Their Crowns

That was the core of the message from Sháka Rasheed ’93 who spoke during Homecoming Crown Forum on Oct. 22, 2015, in the Martin Luther King Jr. International Chapel. Crown Forum is a weekly academic assembly that aims to expose students to speakers with social conscience and a global perspective. Rasheed, managing director and head of Alternative Investments – Americas at Lazard Asset Management in New York, shared that he’s worn a few crowns in his lifetime. Rasheed leads the sales efforts for Alternative Investment strategies in addition to identifying and seeding promising hedge funds into the Lazard platform.
