Sheriff Cunningham & ASU Host Montgomery's Trick or Treat Spooktacular for Children

Posted By: Hija Chang on October 27, 2015 Montgomery County Sheriff Cunningham & ASU's WVAS Radio present: Montgomery's Trick or Treat Spooktacular WHEN: Friday, Oct. 30, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. WHERE: Alcazar Shriner's Temple on the Eastern By-pass. WHO MAY ATTEND: Any children up to 11 years-old. All Montgomery County children between the ages of one and 11 years-old are invited to trick or treat for candy and fun this Friday, October 30, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Alcazar Shriner's Temple on the Eastern By-pass in Montgomery at the 2015 Montgomery Halloween 'Spooktacular.' This is a safe community-wide event where candy and treats are given to all little hobgoblins and ghosties! . The event is sponsored by Montgomery County Sheriff Derrick Cunningham and assisted by Alabama State University's WVAS-FM National Public Radio Station. “We want to prevent our kids from going door-to-door in the community by providing a one stop, safe place event,” said Montgomery County Sheriff Derrick Cunningham. “For this reason, we are seeking help from businesses, public service agencies, churches and neighborhood associations to make this event a huge success for our kids.” Additional information about this event, including vendor information, is available by contacting Reletta McGhee, WVAS Community and Public Affairs Coordinator, at 334-229-5074 or via her e-mail at rmcghee@alasu.edu.
